Outer Containers - For Caskets

Outer containers are protective shells designed to protect the casket. All models that we have available are constructed of reinforced concrete for maximun strength. Outer containers also assist with the long-term care of the cemetery. Wood & pressboard caskets naturally deteriorate over time which can result in the ground sinking or collapsing. When opening the grave next to an existing burial where an outer container has already been used, the casket is protected from the mechanical equipment and it is easier to keep the graves accurately aligned. Some cemeteries may have rules that require an outer container be used.
