Shawn Michael Gerrior

With great sadness the family of Shawn Gerrior (Age 41 years) announce his passing.  Shawn will be lovingly remembered by parents Barry and Cathy Gerrior, his beloved sister Jennifer MacLeod who he adored beyond words, and her husband Dwayne MacLeod ( Shawn's best friend), his love in life Lisa Weir and his much loved Boxer Bentley.  Shawn will be missed by his Aunt, Uncles and Cousins in Nova Scotia.

A successful career in Architecture stemmed from his love of art and photography.  Shawn enjoyed hockey, fishing, golfing and most sports.  Shawn was a race car driver, pit crew member in the Canadian Tire and Pinty's NASCAR series and a car owner and spotter.  Shawn was a mentor in racing to "Young Daniel" and mentor to many in career goals.

Shawn was a builder, a renovator.  There was not much he couldn't do.  Many of the decks and renos out there have his name on them Shawn approached the fight of his life as he did with most things, with strength, courage, determination and humour.

If Shawn passed through your life at any given time you were the lucky one.  We will all miss so many things about Shawn but none so much as his smile, laughter and positive spirit.  Forever in our Hearts, Rest in Peace Shawn.  Many thanks to Dr. Nay for his compassionate care and advocacy and the nurses at RVH Cancer Centre.  Thanks to Dr. Heidi DeBoer for her outstanding daily care and concern.  Thanks to the Doctors and nurses at PMH and Roswell Cancer Centre in Buffalo.

Visitation for friends and family will be held at the Innisfil Funeral Home 7910 Yonge Street, Innisfil on Friday December 11 from 5 to 8:30 pm, with a private family service to follow. Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions attendance is limited. Family and friends planning to attend are kindly requested to RSVP on the funeral home website to reserve their place. We also ask that you please do not gather in the parking lot.

Flowers respectfully declined. In Lieu of Flowers Donations to the RVH Cancer Care Unit or the RVH Hearts and Minds Campaign would be greatly appreciated.
