James William Frank Bond

July 8, 1946 — April 7, 2022

James William Frank Bond, aged 75, passed away on April 7, 2022 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease.  Jim was born on July 8, 1946 to Maud and Frank Bond in Toronto.  After graduating from East York Collegiate, he went on to have a successful career in Corporate Insurance.

In 1969 Jim met Marlene in Toronto and married in 1970.  Throughout his family years Jim enjoyed coaching his son’s hockey team, and was very active in the Kinsmen Club of Ajax, serving on the executive in several areas. In 2006 Jim retired and spent time golfing, cottaging and fishing.

Jim was predeceased by his two children, whom he missed dearly, daughter Allison Marie and son Gregory Allan.  He also lost his niece Jennifer Robinson, sister Christine Bond and recently a sister Barbara Jean Robinson.  He is survived by sister Bonnie (Pat), brother Frank (Jeanette), and brother Joel (Toni), brother-in-law Sidney Robinson, son-in-law Michael Brunt, granddaughter Lauren Rose Brunt, sisters-in-law Lynda Wilson and Dianne Del Rio (Tony), brothers-in-law Timothy and James Devitt and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life is planned for April 30th, 11:00 a.m. at the Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge St., Innisfil, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Parkinson Canada, Cystic Fibrosis, Royal Victoria Hospital or an organization of your choice.
