McCARTNEY, Irene Mary – Passed away at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Friday, September 27th, 2019 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Ralph. Loving mother of Deborah Bamford and her husband John of Oro Medonte, Eric McCartney of Aurora and the late Jeff (Luanne Smith). Dear grandmother of Sarah Bamford (Greg O’Connor), Sharon Galashan (Ben), Riley McCartney, Shelby McCartney and great-grandmother of Amelia, Marina and Eliah. Survived by her brother John Joe McMullen of Sharon, Massachusetts and Billy McMullen of New Waterford, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Irene will also be missed by her God-daughters Georgina Daniel and Lisa Ann Pick. Predeceased by her sisters Florence, Agnes, Patricia, Betty and Marie. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the ININSFIL FUNERAL HOME, 7910 Yonge Street (Stroud) on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
