Allen Roy Ellis

January 15, 1949 — June 23, 2022

Very peacefully, surrounded by his favourite people in the world, Allen Roy Ellis, passed away after a brief illness on June 23, 2022 at the age of 73. This man was a medical marvel and had defied death for many years. He used every one of his 9 lives. Born the third son of Ernie and Mildred Ellis, he was raised on a farm in Ivy. Known to be an amazing athlete he was an incredible teammate and an inspirational coach and mentor to many. He was married to the love of his life for over 51 years, Sheila (McEvoy), where they lived most of their lives in Bradford, Ontario. They raised three wonderful children, Michelle (Ian), Gregory (Josie) and Catherine (Chris) who became experts in their own fields, married lovely spouses who together raised children (Ryinn, Isla and Jordan) and fur-babies (too many to name). He was famous for his incredible sense of humour, musical talents and stories you couldn’t help but believe. An accomplished career in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry led to Allen becoming a professor at George Brown College in Toronto. Allen is predeceased by his mother, father and older brothers Keith and George. He will be so missed by his cousin, Ron Ellis, and many relatives and friends. We are so grateful he is at peace. Donations can be made to: Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or your local Food Bank. Services at: Innisfil Funeral Home, Monday June 27 from 7-9pm, Tuesday June 28 from 1-2pm, Service at 2pm.
