PETERS, Muriel Elizabeth - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Muriel Elizabeth Peters, Wednesday, October 31, 2018, in her 88th year.  She passed peacefully in her sleep, at home with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Russ in 2000. Loving Mother of Debra Gillespie (the late John) of Innisfil, and Janice Ulrich (Marsh) of Vernon, B.C. Muriel will be missed by all of her extended family and friends. At this time the family would like to sincerely thank all of the staff from CCAC and St. Elizabeth for their help and support over the last few years. Special thanks to Dr. Brian Morris, and his staff, and to Adine Calvert for her friendship and support for more than 10 years, Shirlene Hall for her weekly visits and support, and Randy MacLaughlin for all his daily love and care of our beloved Mom. I was a student at Innisfil Central. Mrs. Peters was such a lovely lady. She had a way of making every student feel special when you went to the office. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I am a retired Innisfil [South Simcoe] police officer and had the pleasure of going to Innisfil Central School to teach safety to the students. I knew my day was always going to be enjoyable and fun when I was going to Central because of Muriel. I did have a great visit with her at Sandy Cove Acres after she retired ,laughing about things which had happened over the years. She was a very kind ,helpful person. I am sorry that I did not attend the service as I heard of it too late. She will be missed!
